GeoThermExpo is the first event in Italy entirely dedicated to systems, technologies, instruments and services for the geothermal energy, with a focus on medium and low temperature.

It is characterized by the presence of new technologies and by high technical-scientific level conference and seminars program.

The principal target is the identification of the nowadays market, its focal point and fragility element, and moreover the possible future strategy of developing, direct and indirect, of the resource.

GeoThermExpo 2009 is the ideal place of meeting and discussion between the operators, institutions and academics, at national and international level, and an important moment od dialogue and growing. More than 1.000 were the qualified visitors during the three days. The exhibition area viewed the participation of about 40 within the most important reality of the geothermal sector.

In 2009 edition, the exhibition area lived a synergic relation with the international congress, developed by the Scientific Committee. The international congress was characterized by six different thematic, half a day long each. Ten were the technical meetings organized by the exhibitors. The opening session, titled “Development of geothermal energy until 2008 and short-term prospects” focused the attention on important proposals of changing and improving the recent law system we refer to. The same theme was develop within the round table that took place in the third days “Geothermal energy in Italy and Europe. What future? Ideas and proposals for action” that defined a specific proposal that will be show at  the Ministry of competence.

For the second edition of GeoThermExpo 2010, new thematic of interest are in a defining phase. The event, through the collaboration of the Italian Geothermal Union and the principal associations, want to give to the develop of the geothermal resource an exclusive moment of discussion with the target to share common objects of organization, monitoring and valorization of the entire sector.

The target for 2010 edition will be of reinforcing the presence of the public institutions, conscious about their fundamental role in a strategic sector as this for the protection, the sustainability and the develop of this renewable energetic sector. Important objective will be the interaction of professionals, called to information and formative moment, and the presentation of best practice cases.

Some of the principal thematic will be improved and some new themes will be defined together with transversal themes development.

International dimension will be expanded on both exhibition area and conferences session.

Special moments and courses will crowed the three days of GeothermExpo 2010 when different realities and points of view will be put in comparison for giving to the geothermal sector a new face, characterized by a clear profile with clear and concrete targets.
